feral meemaw @feralmeemaw Replying to @thechosenberg Follow baby's too green. you can't be pushing through your workload like that and telling on yourself. you gotta pace it out. otherwise they'll give you more work to do for the same pay. or they'll make you do managerial duties for grunt pay. use your downtime to work on yourself, work on school, on a side hustle to turn into your main hustle to turn into your dream life.

Garrett Courtney → @CaptVanGarrett Replying to @thechosenberg Follow I think we're at a stage where we can go down to a 4 day / 32 hour work week, with little to no loss in productivity. I think that for a lot of people, we might actually increase productivity, that way. I don't know if we're ready to go down to 3 days yet.

Maximilian Kirk @realmaxkirk - 12h Replying to @thechosenberg It's amazing to me how little the workplaces understand Parkinson's Law. . • Parkinson's law can refer to either of two observations, published in 1955 by the naval historian C. Northcote Parkinson as an essay in The Economist: [1] "work expands so as to fill the time available for its completion", the number of workers within public administration, bureaucracy or officialdom tends to grow, regardless of the amount of work to be done.

Froward Jason Would Li... @JasnTru Follow Whenever I had similar situations I just started learning a new skill on the job, even if completely unrelated to the gig. But if you like the gig you're best off finding other people you can make yourself indispensable to by helping them out, especially if the boss values them.
